Detroit, MI (My Sportsbook) - Todd Marchant scored 75 seconds into the third overtime period, as the Anaheim Ducks clipped the Detroit Red Wings, 4-3, in Game 2 of this Western Conference semifinal series from Joe Louis Arena. Marchant carried the puck across the blueline, came down the left wing and fired a quick wrister labeled for the top right corner of the net and over the glove of Chris Osgood. Ryan Getzlaf registered a goal and two assists for the eighth-seeded Ducks, who return home for Game 3 on Tuesday with this best-of-seven set tied at a game apiece. Chris Pronger and Ryan Carter also lit the lamp, while Corey Perry picked up two helpers. Detroit was relentless on the offensive attack and hounded Jonas Hiller, but he was magnificent between the pipes, especially beyond regulation. Hiller turned aside all 29 shots after the third period and finished the contest with 59 saves. Brad Stuart, Mikael Samuelsson and Johan Franzen each had a goal for the second-seeded Red Wings, who had not lost in the postseason since Game 5 of last year's Stanley Cup finals. Osgood stopped 42-of-46 shots in the loss.
