San Francisco, CA (My Sportsbook) - Rich Aurilia stroked an RBI single in the bottom of the 10th to lead the San Francisco Giants to a 1-0 triumph over Colorado in the rubber match of a three-game series from AT&T Park.

Manuel Corpas (0-3) took the hill for the Rockies in the home half of the 10th and issued a walk to Steve Holm, who was making his season debut. Randy Winn moved Holm to second with a sacrifice bunt and Aurilia hit a line drive into left-center to score the game-winning run.

Barry Zito was spectacular in a seven-inning start, allowing just two hits with four strikeouts and one walk for San Francisco. Brandon Medders (1-1) tossed a scoreless 10th to collect the win for the Giants, who have now won five consecutive series.

"Oh man, great outing. It's hard to throw better then he did; we needed it too. We are having a tough time getting some runs on board, and hitting with runners in scoring position," San Francisco manager Bruce Bochy said about Zito.

Fred Lewis and Emmanuel Burriss each had two hits to pace San Francisco's offense.

The Giants have won five-straight home series to start the season, marking the first time the club has won five-straight home series since May 25 - June 24, 2004.

Jason Hammel gave up six hits, walked two, and fanned one in a six-inning start for Colorado.

Dexter Fowler, Todd Helton, and Clint Barmes had the only three hits of the game for the Rockies, who have lost three of five overall.

"We got dynamite pitching in the series. We gave up five runs and lost two ballgames. We got a couple of opportunties for our offense to pick up our pitching staff. It didn't happen. We'll head to San Diego, try and get it right there but the pitching is lining up right there. That's the fifth good consecutive start and had some guys pitch pretty well out of the bullpen," Colorado manager Clint Hurdle said.

The Giants had a golden opportunity to draw first blood in the sixth after Lewis led off with a double to right and Edgar Renteria advanced the runner to third on a fly out. Nate Schierholtz lined out and Hammel intentionally walked Pablo Sandoval, who swiped second. Aaron Rowand then walked to load the bases but Travis Ishikawa hit a weak grounder back to the mound.

San Francisco had another chance to score in the seventh. Burriss welcomed Jason Grilli to the mound with a double to left field. Holm reached base on a throwing error from Grilli, which allowed Burriss to move to third. Pinch- hitter Winn went down swinging before Alan Embree entered and got pinch-hitter Bengie Molina to ground into a double play.

Colorado finally put together a scoring threat in the top of the ninth. With Brian Wilson on the hill, Fowler swung and missed at strike three but took first on a wild pitch. Ryan Spilborghs' sacrifice bunt moved Fowler to second and Helton was intentionally walked. Garrett Atkins went down swinging before Brad Hawpe walked to load the bases, but Troy Tulowitzki popped out to end the frame.

Game Notes

San Francisco finished a six-game homestand with a 4-2 mark...The Giants improved to 2-1 in extra inning games this season, while Colorado dropped to 0-1...The Giants will travel to Chicago for a two-game set with the Cubs, starting on Monday. The Rockies will head to San Diego for a two-game series, starting on Monday...Colorado went 11-7 against the Giants in last year's season series and won six of the nine meetings between the teams held in San Francisco.
