Atlanta, GA (My Sportsbook) - Houston Astros relief pitcher Doug Brocail left Houston's 7-5 win over the Atlanta Braves on Sunday with a strained left hamstring. The 41-year-old Brocail twisted his left leg while trying to cover first on a Kelly Johnson grounder to first baseman Lance Berkman in the eighth inning. Brocail was able to catch Berkman's toss and touch first to record the out, but he seemed to buckle his left leg in the process. He fell to the ground immediately. Brocail was on the ground for a few minutes before being helped to his feet by the trainers. Brocail had to be carted off the field after not being able to walk off under his own power. He is listed as day-to-day. "It happened when I went to plant and cut," Brocail said. "We won and that's the important thing." Brocail came off the 15-day disabled list on April 26. He was on the DL since April 13 with a strained right rotator cuff.
