Bronx, NY (My Sportsbook) - Matt Palmer threw three-hit ball into the seventh inning for his second big league win and Torii Hunter keyed a four-run seventh with a two-run double, as the LA Angels of Anaheim earned an 8-4 victory over the New York Yankees in the third of a four-game set at Yankee Stadium. Howie Kendrick went 2-for-5 and drove in the go-ahead run in the big inning, while Kendry Morales added a pair of hits with a homer and two runs batted in. The Angels, who dropped the first two of the series, have won four of their last six. Palmer (2-0) has won his first two starts of the season. After beating Detroit in his Angels debut on April 23 despite giving up four earned runs in six innings, he limited the Yankees to just one run on Saturday. The right-hander, who was 0-2 in three starts for San Francisco last year, walked two and struck out a pair over 6 1/3 innings. CC Sabathia (1-3) lost his second straight start and is 0-2 in his last four outings since his lone victory of the season at Kansas City on April 11. He worked five scoreless innings before unraveling and was tagged for five runs -- four earned -- on eight hits with one walk and five strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings. The Yankees had a season-high four-game win streak stopped and had won five in a row in their new ballpark. Jorge Posada clubbed a two-run homer for New York.

Final Score: Toronto 5, Baltimore 4 (11 innings)

Toronto, ON (My Sportsbook) - Aaron Hill tied the game in the 10th with a solo homer and drove in the winning run in the bottom of the 11th, as the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Baltimore Orioles, 5-4, in the second installment of a three-game series at Rogers Centre. Marco Scutaro, Adam Lind and Raul Chavez each drove in a run for the Blue Jays, who have won three of their last five games. Toronto's Robert Ray recorded a no-decision in his major league debut, allowing three runs on four hits over 5 2/3 innings. Jason Frasor (4-0) earned the win after hurling a scoreless frame in relief. Adam Jones was 3-for-6 with a home run and Aubrey Huff had two RBI for the slumping Orioles, who have dropped five straight and eight of 10 games overall. Nick Markakis finished 0-for-4 with two walks and two runs scored, snapping a 17-game hitting streak. Brad Bergesen got the start for Baltimore and gave up three runs on six hits in six innings of work. Brian Bass (0-1) was saddled with the loss.

Final Score: Detroit 9, Cleveland 7

Detroit, MI (My Sportsbook) - Curtis Granderson smacked a two-run homer, part of a three-run eighth inning, as Detroit rallied past Cleveland, 9-7, in the middle contest of a three-game series at Comerica Park. Adam Everett added a grand slam for the Tigers, who halted a three-game losing streak. Ryan Raburn, Magglio Ordonez and Carlos Guillen also knocked in runs for Detroit. Joel Zumaya (1-0) got the win after a scoreless eighth inning, and Fernando Rodney allowed two hits in the ninth, but held on for his fifth save. Starter Zach Miner gave up six hits and five runs in five innings. Asdrubal Cabrera had two hits and three RBI for the Indians, losers in three of five. Shin- Soo Choo added two runs driven in while Victor Martinez hit safely twice, knocked in a run and scored twice. Rafael Betancourt (0-1) was tagged for the loss and a blown save as he was charged with three hits and three runs -- two earned -- over 1 2/3 relief innings. Aaron Laffey yielded six hits and five runs with five walks in his 3 1/3-inning start.

Final Score: Boston 10, Tampa Bay 6

St. Petersburg, FL (My Sportsbook) - Nick Green finished 3-for-5 with three RBI as Boston outslugged Tampa Bay, 10-6, in the third of four from Tropicana Field. Kevin Youkilis also drove in three runs for the Red Sox, who had lost the first two games in the series by 13-0 and 6-2 scores. J.D. Drew added two RBI, Mike Lowell homered and Dustin Pedroia also knocked in a run. Boston starter Tim Wakefield (3-1) was not strong in the win, allowing seven hits and five runs with five strikeouts and three walks over five-plus innings. Carlos Pena hit his major-league leading 11th home run and knocked in a pair for the Rays, who took their third loss in the last five games. Evan Longoria and Pat Burrell also knocked in two runs apiece. Jeff Niemann (2-3) was tagged with the loss for allowing seven hits and six runs -- five earned -- walking three and fanning three in just three frames.

Final Score: Kansas City 10, Minnesota 7 (11 innings)

Minneapolis, MN (My Sportsbook) - Alberto Callaspo went 3-for-6 and drove in a run during Kansas City's three-run 11th inning, as the Royals topped Minnesota, 10-7, in the second of three games with the Twins. Craig Breslow (0-1) was credited with the loss, while Joakim Soria (1-0) got the win. Callaspo also had two doubles while Willie Bloomquist also finished with three hits, including a solo homer, for the Royals. Miguel Olivo finished 2-for-4 with three runs batted in for Kansas City, which rebounded from a 7-5 loss in Friday's series opener and pulled into a tie with the White Sox atop the AL Central. Royals starter Brian Bannister allowed six runs -- three earned -- on eight hits and two walks in 5 1/3 innings, and didn't factor into the decision. Joe Mauer went 4-for-6 with a double and RBI for the Twins, in just his second game this season after missing the Twins' first 22 games with lower back inflammation. He is now 6-for-9 to start the season. Michael Cuddyer went 2-for-4 with a homer and walk for Minnesota, which had a three- game win streak snapped. Delmon Young ended 3-for-4 with a pair of runs driven in.

Final Score: Texas 9, Chicago 6

Arlington, TX (My Sportsbook) - Hank Blalock homered and knocked in four runs, and the Rangers beat the White Sox, 9-6, in a rain-soaked affair. The game was stopped for a total of three hours and 47 minutes, more than the actual length of game action: 2:37. Brandon McCarthy (3-0) tossed the minimum five innings to get the win, allowing a run on three hits. Ian Kinsler and Omar Vizquel each had two hits and an RBI for Texas, which had dropped two straight. A.J. Pierzynski hit his seventh career grand slam, but Jose Contreras was lit up for seven runs on seven hits and two walks in just 3 1/3 frames for Chicago, which won the opener of this three-game set, 4-3.

Final Score: Oakland 3, Seattle 2

Seattle, WA (My Sportsbook) - Gregorio Petit knocked in the game-winning run off David Aardsma in the ninth inning, giving Oakland a 3-2 victory over the Mariners at Safeco Field, snapping the Athletics' seven-game losing streak to Seattle dating back to last season. Andrew Bailey (3-0) was credited with the win with two relief innings behind rookie starter Trevor Cahill, who allowed a run on seven hits in six innings. Michael Wuertz hurled a perfect ninth for his second save. Petit finished 3-for-4, while Jason Giambi had two hits and two RBI for Oakland, which has won four of its last six games. Russell Branyan had two hits, including a solo home run for Seattle, which has dropped four of six. Jarrod Washburn threw seven strong innings, charged with a run on five hits and two walks while striking out six. Aardsma (0-1) took the loss.
