(My Sportsbook) - The New York Yankees try to push their winning streak to a season-high four games this evening when they play the second test of their four-game series with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at Yankee Stadium.

The Yankees drew first blood in this set with a thrilling win on Thursday, as Ramiro Pena's first two career RBI came as part of a game-changing three-run eighth inning in New York's 7-4 victory. Melky Cabrera put his team ahead with a bases-loaded single in the big eighth and was 2-for-4 for the Yankees, who have won four straight in their new ballpark

Robinson Cano extended his hitting streak to 17 games with a single in the eighth, while Nick Swisher continued to produce, scoring twice in the win. Swisher is 5-for-10 with three homers, five RBI and seven runs scored in his last three games.

Hideki Matsui has also hit in 10 straight games.

A.J. Burnett didn't factor in the decision after he went seven frames and gave up four runs on eight hits with five strikeouts against one walk. Phil Coke (1-1) got the win after hurling a perfect eighth inning. Mariano Rivera earned his fifth save of the year with a scoreless ninth.

Mike Napoli had a solo homer for the Angels, who had a three-game winning streak stopped. Maicer Izturis, Chone Figgins and Erick Aybar drove in a run each in the setback.

Anthony Ortega lasted 6 1/3 innings and gave up four runs -- three earned -- on eight hits in his second career start. Justin Speier (0-1) was tagged with the loss after he gave up all three runs while recording just one out in the eighth.

Heading to the hill for the Yankees tonight will be left-hander Andy Pettitte, who is 2-1 with a 2.96 earned run average. Pettitte suffered his first loss of the season on Sunday in Boston, as the Red Sox tagged him for four runs (three earned) and six hits in six innings.

Pettitte has faced the Angels 25 times and is 12-8 against them with a 4.40 ERA.

Los Angeles, meanwhile, will counter with righty Jered Weaver, who is coming off his best start of the season. Weaver silenced Seattle's bats on Sunday, as he scattered three hits over seven scoreless innings to earn the win, upping his record to 2-1 on the year, while lowering his ERA to 2.45.

Weaver is 3-1 lifetime against the Yankees with a 6.14 ERA.

Despite the loss in the opener, the Angels have had their way with the Yankees over the past few seasons, going 19-11 against them since the start of the 2006 season. Anaheim won seven of its 10 meetings with the Yanks last season, but split their four matchups at Yankee Stadium.
