Phoenix, AZ (My Sportsbook) - Chad Tracy's three-hit, three-RBI effort backed a superb start from Doug Davis, as the Diamondbacks rolled to a 10-0 victory to take the rubber match of their three-game set with the Cubs.

Davis (2-3), who was 0-3 at home this season, allowed just two hits and three walks while fanning seven for Arizona, which completed a 5-4 homestand.

"Doug has been really good for us," Arizona manager Bob Melvin said. "He's just been terrific for a guy that tends to throw a lot of pitches and get himself into some jams."

Justin Upton chipped in two hits and three RBI, while Conor Jackson walked twice with the bases loaded in the win.

Ryan Dempster (1-1) lasted six-plus innings, surrendering five runs on six hits and three walks for Chicago, which mustered just two hits to finish its road trip with a 2-4 record.

Tracy drove home a pair with a ground-rule double in the first and later scored on a fielder's choice off the bat of Eric Byrnes.

Tracy added a leadoff homer in the third, and the 4-0 lead was more than enough for Davis, who allowed just one baserunner to reach second.

"Sometimes [four runs] is a tough hill to come back from," Dempster said. "It was not a very good road trip for us."

Arizona made it a laugher by scoring five runs on one hit in the seventh.

Dempster was pulled after issuing a leadoff walk to Ryan Roberts, and Carlos Marmol couldn't find the strike zone in relief, walking four of five hitters.

Mark Reynolds and Jackson drew free passes to each force in a run, and Upton cleared the bags two batters later, roping a one-hopper to the right-center field wall off Jeff Samardzija.

Kevin Gregg continued Chicago's awful relief effort, walking Jackson with the bases loaded for a run in the eighth.

Arizona's Tony Pena and Juan Gutierrez threw the eighth and ninth inning, respectively, to preserve the shutout.
