New York, NY (My Sportsbook) - New York Rangers forward Blair Betts was forced to leave Game 6 of Sunday's quarterfinal series with Washington after absorbing a hit from Capitals enforcer Donald Brashear midway through the first period. Brashear caught Betts with a forearm to the chin with the Rangers' pivot having just dished the puck to a teammate at center ice. The hit caught Betts looking in the opposite direction, and he lay on the ice for several minutes before being helped to the locker room by two teammates, visibly woozy. He did not return to the contest, which Washington took 5-3 to force a Game 7 on Tuesday. The 29-year-old native of Edmonton had six goals and four assists in 81 games for New York during the regular season. Betts had yet to register a point through the first five games of this series.
