Chicago, IL (My Sportsbook) - Scott Rolen stroked the go-ahead RBI single in the eighth inning as the Toronto Blue Jays edged the Chicago White Sox to take the rubber match of a weekend set at U.S. Cellular Field.

Marco Scutaro knocked in a run for the Blue Jays, who have won four of five and eight of 11. Vernon Wells had two hits and scored twice in the triumph. Adam Lind drove in a pair of runs and Rod Barajas went 3-for-4 with a run scored.

Roy Halladay (4-1) got the win after going seven innings and giving up three runs on eight hits with six strikeouts and just one walk. Scott Downs tossed a scoreless ninth to get his second save of the campaign.

Paul Konerko knocked in two runs for the Pale Hose, who have dropped four of six overall. Josh Fields drove in the other run while Brian Anderson ended 3- for-4.

Jose Contreras suffered a no-decision after giving up three runs on eight hits over seven frames. Scott Linebrink (0-1) was saddled with the loss after giving up a run in the eighth.

The Jays grabbed a 4-3 edge in the eighth inning. Wells opened the frame with a double off of Linebrink and scored two batters later as Rolen singled to left.

Downs came in to pitch the ninth for Toronto and yielded a two-out single to Anderson, however, Alexei Ramirez flied out to left to end the game.

Toronto struck in the first inning. Lind had a two-run double that scored Aaron Hill and Wells, who both got on with singles. However, Brent Lillibridge opened the home portion with a double and scored as Fields followed with a single, which cut it to 2-1.

Fields opened the third inning with a walk and moved to third two batters later as Jim Thome singled. Lyle Overbay grounded out, but Konerko slapped a two-run double to left field to make it 3-2.

Barajas had a one-out double in the fourth, moved to third on Travis Snider's single and crossed home as Scutaro grounded out to tie the game at three.

Game Notes

Toronto went 3-for-10 with RISP and left nine men on base, whereas Chicago was 2-for-10 with RISP and stranded six runners...Toronto's loss in the middle set of the series on Saturday was just its second in 10 tries against the Sox and only its second in its previous six games in the Windy City.
