Torres was disciplined for twice throwing at Damian Miller of the Athletics last month in Oakland. He was originally suspended for four games and $1,700, but an appeal reduced the punishment by one game and $700. He will miss two games against the Expos and the first of a two-game series in Atlanta. In 49 games this season, Torres is 6-3 with a 3.00 earned run average. |
