Los Angeles, CA (My Sportsbook) - Matt Kemp belted a grand slam and hit a solo home run, as the Los Angeles Dodgers routed the Colorado Rockies, 14-2, to sweep a three-game series at Dodger Stadium.

Orlando Hudson and Andre Ethier each had three RBI for the Dodgers, who have won eight straight games. Rafael Furcal, Hudson, and Casey Blake each scored twice.

"When I am hitting the ball well to right field, I know I am doing good," Kemp said. "I am seeing the ball well and I know when I get a good pitch I won't miss it."

Right-hander James McDonald allowed just four hits while fanning two and walking three in the second start of his career for the Dodgers. Scott Elbert (1-0) pitched 2 2/3 innings of relief, giving up two runs on three hits to collect the win.

Chris Iannetta and Brad Hawpe each hit a solo home run to pace the Rockies' offense.

Ubaldo Jimenez (1-2) tossed 4 1/3 innings, allowing seven runs on as many hits to take the loss for Colorado. Jimenez was 4-0 lifetime versus the Dodgers coming into the contest.

"We didn't do a whole lot right today. We didn't string together good at-bats and didn't pitch well at all," Colorado manager Clint Hurdle said.

The Dodgers scored twice in the first inning to begin a parade of runs that would follow. Furcal walked to leadoff, then Hudson doubled to center field to score Furcal. Ethier doubled to right to knock in Hudson after Manny Ramirez was retired on a grounder.

Los Angeles extended its margin to three with a run in the second frame. Hudson singled to right with two outs to score Blake.

Furcal's two-out double to right in the fourth knocked in Kemp to put the Dodgers ahead 4-0.

Los Angeles scored seven runs in the fifth frame to turn the tilt into a blowout. With the bases loaded and one out, Matt Belisle took over on the mound. Kemp welcomed Belisle by belting a grand slam to right-center field. Scott Elbert, Hudson, and Ethier added an RBI apiece in the inning to put Los Angeles up 11-0.

The Rockies tallied their lone two runs of the contest in the sixth. Hawpe led the frame off with a solo homer to right field. Iannetta also hit a solo home run in the inning, driving the ball over the left-field wall with two outs.

Ethier and James Loney each had an RBI in the seventh to pad the Dodgers' gap. And Kemp belted his second homer of the tilt with a solo shot over the center- field wall in the eighth.

Game Notes

The Dodgers will travel to Houston on Tuesday for a three-game set with the Astros. The Rockies will head to Arizona on Monday for a three-game series with the Diamondbacks.
