Colorado Springs, CO (My Sportsbook) - The United States Olympic Committee announced Friday that Stephanie Streeter will remain as the Chief Executive Officer of the organization through the conclusion of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. Streeter, who just resigned as a member of the USOC's board of directors, recently replaced outgoing CEO Jim Scherr on an interim basis. The USOC said during the fourth quarter of this year, they would initiate a national search for its next CEO. Chairman Larry Probst will appoint a subcommittee of the USOC's board of directors to oversee the search. "We are extremely pleased with Stephanie's leadership of the organization," said Probst. "Stephanie stepped in during a challenging time for the USOC and has made an immediate and positive impact that is already strengthening our organization. She has the full authority to direct the day-to-day operations of the USOC and the full support of the Board of Directors in doing so."
