New York, NY (My Sportsbook) - Wilson Chandler led the Knicks with 16 points, and New York ended the season on a high note with a 102-73 rout of its Atlantic Division rivals, the New Jersey Nets, at Madison Square Garden.

Larry Hughes added 15 points and Chris Wilcox 14 for the Knicks (32-50), who closed out the season by losing seven of their last 10 games. Nate Robinson finished with 12 points and four assists.

David Lee recorded his NBA-leading 65th double-double with 12 points and 12 boards in the win for New York, which hasn't made the playoffs since the 2003-04 campaign.

"The fans have been wonderful, they stuck by us through the tough times," said Robinson. "Hopefully next year we can get to the playoffs."

Chris Douglas-Roberts donated 18 points for the Nets (34-48), who dropped nine of their final 13 games to finish up. Ryan Anderson totaled 13 points and 11 boards in the setback.

The Nets will miss the playoffs for a second straight season.

"I'm disappointed that we're not playing [in the postseason]," said Nets head coach Lawrence Frank. "I don't think anyone is ever glad it's all over. You want to at least get into the postseason."

The Knicks led 24-16 after the first quarter and were up 52-40 at the break.

Robinson's jumper and five points from Chandler gave New York a 72-54 lead late in the third stanza.

New York was in control, 81-58, heading to the final 12 minutes. The visitors failed to pose a threat in the fourth.
