(My Sportsbook) - The NBA's top team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, will try to match the best home record in a season tonight when they welcome the sliding Philadelphia 76ers to Quicken Loans Arena. Cleveland has won 16 straight home games and is one win away from matching Boston's 40-1 home mark established during the 1985-86 campaign. Its last loss at home was on February 8 versus the Lakers. The top-seeded Cavs have won five straight overall and recently posted a 117-109 triumph at Indiana on Monday. MVP candidate LeBron James tallied 37 points to help Cleveland secure the best record in the NBA. James also registered five rebounds and five assists for the Cavs, who have homecourt advantage in the playoffs and will open the first round against the eighth-seeded Detroit Pistons. Mo Williams finished with 18 points and eight assists, while Zydrunas Ilgauskas chipped in 16 points with 10 rebounds for the victors. James and Ilgauskas are expected to sit tonight in order to rest for the postseason. The Sixers have not been playing like a team headed to the postseason as evidenced by their six straight losses. They can wrap up the sixth spot in the East with a win tonight coupled with a loss by Chicago versus Toronto. Philadelphia is fresh off Tuesday's 100-98 defeat at the hands of the Boston Celtics, as Andre Iguodala ended with 25 points, seven assists and five rebounds in a losing effort. Andre Miller posted 15 points and nine assists, while Lou Williams chipped in 14 points for the 76ers. The Sixers, who are 16-24 as the visitor this season, have lost the first three meetings with Cleveland this season and five straight in the series. Philly is 12-6 in its last 18 games as the guest between the teams. Cleveland is aiming to sweep the season series from Philadelphia for the first time since the 1996-97 campaign.
