Cleveland, OH (My Sportsbook) - The Cleveland Indians placed southpaw hurler Scott Lewis on the 15-day disabled list with a left elbow strain. Lewis had a 4-0 mark last September and made the Indians rotation out of spring training before starting Friday's home-opening loss to the Toronto Blue Jays. The left-hander didn't record a decision after yielding four runs on seven hits with three strikeouts and one walk over 4 1/3 frames. To take Lewis' spot on the roster, the club purchased the contract of pitcher Vinnie Chulk from Triple-A Columbus. Chulk was signed to a minor league contract this offseason. He pitched with Toronto from 2003-06.
