Cincinnati, OH (My Sportsbook) - St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Mike Lincoln had elbow ligament replacement surgery and will miss the rest of the season. Lincoln, who was signed as a free agent by the Cardinals in January after he spent the previous three campaigns with the Pirates, finished 3-2 with a 5.19 ERA in 13 relief appearances this season. The operation was performed by Dr. George Paletta on Tuesday at Barnes West Hospital in St. Louis Lincoln has been on the 15-day DL since May 4 due to an elbow strain. An MRI back on June 16 showed reduced swelling, but the injury did not respond to a throwing program.
