Denver, CO (My Sportsbook) - The Colorado Rockies purchased pitcher Matt Belisle's contract on Friday in advance of the team's game against the Philadelphia Phillies. Belisle was signed by the team as a minor league free agent this past offseason. Last year, with the Reds, he went 1-4 with a 7.28 earned run average in six starts before undergoing season-ending ACL surgery in August. In parts of five seasons, all with Cincinnati, Belisle is 16-22 with a 5.06 ERA. To make room for him on the roster, the team designated pitcher Juan Morillo for assignment.
