Springfield, MA (My Sportsbook) - The Manitoba Moose's Cory Schneider has been named the winner of the Aldege Bastien Memorial Award as the American Hockey League's outstanding goaltender for the 2008-09 season Schneider leads the league with a 1.99 goals-against-average, is tied for first with a .929 save percentage, is third with five shutouts, and is sixth with 28 victories. The 23-year-old was a first-round draft choice by the NHL's Vancouver Canucks in 2004. Schneider made his NHL debut on Nov. 29, 2008, and has appeared in eight NHL games this season. The Aldege Bastien Memorial Award is voted by coaches, players and members of the media in each of the league's 29 cities.
