Los Angeles, CA (My Sportsbook) - Los Angeles Lakers center Andrew Bynum appears ready to return to action, possibly as soon as Thursday's game against Denver, after missing more than two months with a medial collateral ligament tear in his right knee. "I feel like I'm ready. I think tomorrow's possible," Bynum said on Wednesday at practice. "I want to get out there and get as much game experience as I can. I feel good. I think I'm ready to play tomorrow." It was January 31st when Bynum had to be helped off the court early in a win vs. Memphis. The team originally diagnosed the injury as a sprain, however, an MRI exam later revealed the tear and derailed what was shaping up to be the 21-year-old's breakout season in his fourth in LA. The seven-footer entered that fateful game with a string of five straight double-doubles and was establishing himself as a dangerous compliment to star guard Kobe Bryant. Bynum is averaging 14 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.9 blocks and 1.5 assists in starting each of the 46 games in which he appeared this season. "We'll probably assess how he feels tomorrow. We're pleased with his progress. I don't know how much more he can get out of the activity level that he's doing right now. He's got to get playing here pretty soon," said Lakers head coach Phil Jackson. Jackson added that he hadn't made up his mind whether Bynum, who has been practicing with the team since it returned from a seven-game road trip last Thursday, would immediately rejoin the starting lineup or come off the bench. Lamar Odom has logged the majority of Bynum's minutes and was a key cog coming off LA's bench prior to the injury. Bynum was also forced to miss the entire second half of last season and the playoffs after suffering a partially dislocated left kneecap last January -- also against Memphis.
