Tamaulipas, Mexico (My Sportsbook) - Edgar Sosa had another successful defense of his WBC light flyweight title by scoring a fourth-round technical knockout of Thailand's Pornsawan Porpramook Saturday night. This was the eighth title defense for Sosa (35-5, 19 KOs). A 29-year-old Mexico City native, Sosa won the interim 108-pound crown with a majority decision over Brian Viloria in April 2007 at the Alamodome in San Antonio. Sosa is unbeaten since September 2003. Porpramook (21-3) lost his second straight bout, having also fallen in a 12- round unanimous decision to Oleydong Sithsamerchai in Thailand last November in a fight for the WBC minimumweight title. Winless in three title fights, this was his first fight in North America.
