Montreal, QC (My Sportsbook) - Timothy Bradley, despite being knocked down twice in a 12-round bout, defeated Kendall Holt by unanimous decision to become the unified WBC and WBO Jr. welterweight champion.

Bradley (24-0, 11 KOs), who has gone the distance in five of his last six fights, was a 114-112 winner on Raul Nieves' scorecard and 115-111 on Richard Decarufel's and Jack Woodburn's.

Despite suffering the first two knockdowns in his 169-fight career, including amateurs, Bradley was the aggressor throughout the match, landing many more punches.

With the win, Bradley could set up a possible bout with Ricky Hatton, Manny Pacquiao or Floyd Mayweather, Jr., who is rumored to be coming out of retirement soon.

Holt (25-3, 13 KOs) failed in his attempt to defend the WBO title for the second time.

In the first round, Holt came out punching, landing a left hook with 44 seconds left that knocked Bradley immediately to the ground. Bradley shot right back up but went back down to the ground to regain his composure.

Bradley was the aggressor in the middle rounds, and Holt lost his balance in the eighth and fell to one knee for a brief moment. Holt seemed to tire more than his counterpart in the later rounds, struggling to establish his jab throughout.

The match seemed to be tilting heavily toward Bradley until the final round, when a clean right uppercut from Holt with 15 seconds forced Bradley to the ground, as his right glove clearly hit the mat. It ended up being a standing eight-count, but Bradley was able to finish out the fight and come away with the narrow victory.
