Edinburgh, Scotland (My Sportsbook) - Hearts goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald has ended speculation about his future by penning a new three-year contract with the Jambos which will keep him at Tynecastle until the end of the 2011-12 campaign. The 22-year-old, who has spent the last seven seasons with the club, is determined to push current first-choice shot-stopper Janos Balogh all the way in an attempt to take the number one shirt. MacDonald told the Edinburgh Evening News: "I'm absolutely delighted to get it sorted. It's obviously good to sign a three-year deal as it's a bit of comfort for me. "I know where I'm going to be for the next three years and hopefully I can force my way towards being number one now and play every week. "Since the 2005-06 season, I've been involved with the first team and then I went out on loan. "I'm 23 this month and I think now it's time for me to really push on and stake a claim for that number one jersey. My birthday's in a few weeks so I'm just happy to sign this new deal."
