Toledo, OH (My Sportsbook) - The University of Toledo and head women's basketball coach Tricia Cullop have agreed to a contract extension, keeping her at the school through the 2014-15 season. Cullop's original deal was for five years through the 2012-13 season. This past season Cullop guided the Rockets to the league's third-best MAC record and an appearance in the semifinals of the postseason tourney. Toledo finished 11-5 in league play and wrapped up the year with an overall mark of 18-13. "My first year was truly a joy," said Cullop, who was named the Missouri Valley Conference Coach of the Year in 2007-08 while at Evansville. "I'm tremendously thankful for this gesture, as it sends a message of confidence from our administrators to myself and my staff." |
