Memphis, TN (My Sportsbook) - Now that John Calipari has officially left Memphis, it appears as though freshman sensation Tyreke Evans will follow his former coach's lead. The Memphis Commercial Appeal quoted Evans' brother as saying the 6-foot-5 guard will leave the Tigers after one season for the NBA. Evans is expected to be a first-round pick and possibly a lottery selection in June. "We all know that college is a system designed for a team atmosphere and a team concept," Julius "Doc" Evans told the paper. "The NBA is more individual, one-on-one. So I think 'Reke, for adjusting to the college atmosphere and coming in doing what he's doing, I think he had a great year. It was a great time. It was a great college atmosphere." Evans averaged a team-best 17.1 points with 5.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 37 games for Memphis this past season. He was moved to point guard in December and the team responded with a 27-game winning streak that ended with a regional semifinal loss to Missouri in the NCAA Tournament. In the 101-92 loss to Missouri, Evans led Memphis with 33 points.
