Detroit, MI (My Sportsbook) - The Detroit Tigers announced Monday the acquisition of outfielder Josh Anderson from the Atlanta Braves in exchange for pitcher Rudy Darrow. Anderson hit .294 with three homers and 12 RBI in 40 games with the Braves in 2008. He spent the majority of the season with Atlanta's Triple-A affiliate in Richmond, batting .314 with four homers, 25 doubles and 40 RBI in 121 contests. A 2003 fourth-round pick of Houston, Anderson is a career .315 hitter with three homers and 23 RBI in 61 games over two years with the Astros and Braves. Darrow spent last season with Single-A West Michigan and Double-A Erie, compiling a 5-3 record in 47 combined contests. Over three years in the Tigers' minor-league system, the 25-year-old right-hander is 9-6 with a 2.52 earned-run average in 78 games.
