Trenton, NJ (My Sportsbook) - Briann January scored 22 points and dished out five assists to lead the sixth-seeded Arizona State Sun Devils to an 84-69 victory over the second-seeded Texas A&M Aggies in Sweet 16 play at Sovereign Bank Arena. Danielle Orsillo added 15 points for Arizona State (26-8), which will take on the undefeated Connecticut Huskies on Tuesday night in an Elite Eight matchup. Lauren Lacey contributed 14 points off the bench for the Sun Devils, while Kayli Murphy chipped in with nine points and a team-best six rebounds. Tanisha Smith registered 19 points for Texas A&M (27-8), while Takia Starks and Danielle Gant posted 18 and 13 points, respectively, in the loss. The Sun Devils were scorching hot in the first half, shooting 66.7 percent from the field to take a 42-37 edge into the break. ASU continued its strong offensive showing in the second frame, netting 57.7 percent of its attempts from the floor, en route to the 15-point win.
