London, England (My Sportsbook) - Goalkeeper Ben Foster claims he will not be fazed by the pressure of playing big games should his England career take off.

The Manchester United keeper could win only his second international cap in Saturday's friendly with Slovakia at Wembley.

The 25-year-old has been drafted into the England squad despite only starting a handful of matches for United, but Foster claims he will not be fazed on the biggest stage.

Foster's previous high-profile games were last month's Carling Cup Final and a Championship play-off final in 2006 while on loan at Watford.

"I really enjoy playing the big games," he said. "The Championship play-off was a pretty big deal at the time and I did fairly well in that, as I did the Carling Cup Final.

"It is not something that fazes me. I don't feel the pressure or get nervous. It could be an FA Cup third-round tie away at a non-league ground. You still have to do the same things."

Meanwhile, Foster claims he is happy to bide him time and wait for starting opportunities at Old Trafford where he is currently back-up to Edwin van der Sar.

"You can't really go knocking on the manager's door when the goalkeeper in front of you is doing that," said Foster, regarding the veteran Dutchman's run of 14 clean sheets earlier in the season.

"Edwin is one of the coolest, calmest goalkeepers I have ever met. He is very laid back and that calmness spreads through the team. You can see how comfortable the defenders are about giving him the ball at his feet."
