Dallas, TX (My Sportsbook) - Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Terry each scored 26 points, leading the Dallas Mavericks to a 128-106 win over the Golden State Warriors.

Jose Barea added 20 points and seven assists off the bench for Dallas, which has won two in a row and three of four overall. The Mavericks currently hold the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference, but are only four games behind San Antonio, which leads the Southwest Division and holds the second spot in a close West race.

Gerald Green added 14 points, and Antoine Wright had 13 points in the win.

"I'm happy with the way we played," Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle said. "We played a great offensive game. Defensively we struggled. We were able to string some stops together, get some rebounds in stretches. We're going to have to do better in the upcoming games, obviously."

Anthony Morrow had 29 points on 10-of-11 shooting to pace Golden State, which has lost three in a row. Monta Ellis ended with 22 points and five assists in the loss.

"I thought Morrow was terrific -- he's trying to make the extra pass, plus he's a terrific shooter," Warriors head coach Don Nelson said. "So he is a real bright spot tonight."

The Mavericks held several double-digit leads in the first three quarters, but Golden State got back in the contest each time. However, Dallas, leading by 13, shut the door in the fourth quarter with seven consecutive points.

Barea started and ended the run with a basket, while Jason Kidd drained a three between, as the Mavericks went up 107-87. They assumed the lead with just under 10 minutes to go, but Golden State never recovered, as Dallas held cruised to the win from there.

A seven-point burst put the Mavericks up 25-16 in the first quarter, and they went into the second ahead 37-26. Dallas held a double-digit lead through most of that frame, but the Warriors ended the half with five consecutive points. Kelenna Azubuike had the last two, getting Golden State within 63-56.

Ellis and Anthony Randolph opened the third quarter with consecutive buckets to bring Golden State within three, but Dallas responded with nine points. Terry ended the burst with a three-pointer, stretching the Mavs' advantage to 72-60.

Golden State, though, stayed in the game, and trimmed its deficit to 87-83 on a Randolph bucket. But the Mavs again responded and ended the quarter with eight points in a row -- all from Barea -- to head to the fourth with a 95-83 edge.

Game Notes

Dallas shot 58.5 percent from the field, despite making only 4-of-15 three- point attempts...Golden State made 47.5 percent of its shots, including 7- of-14 from beyond the arc...The Mavericks held a 44-26 rebounding advantage. Erick Dampier had 10 boards to go with eight points...Brandon Bass added 10 points for Dallas...Stephen Jackson had 12 points for Golden State, while Azubuike added 11. Randolph and C.J. Watson each scored 10 in defeat.
