Piscataway, NJ (My Sportsbook) - Epiphanny Prince scored 27 points to lead the seventh-seeded Rutgers Scarlet Knights to an 80-52 win over the second- seeded Auburn Tigers in second round action of the NCAA Tournament. Kia Vaughn also added 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Scarlet Knights (21-12), while Heather Zurich and Brittany Ray chipped in with 12 points apiece. The Tigers were paced by DeWanna Bonner, who tallied 17 points and nine rebounds in a losing effort. Whitney Boddie also chipped in with 10 points for Auburn (30-4). Rutgers took control of the game in the first half, shooting 50 percent from the floor to take a commanding 43-28 lead at the break. The Scarlet Knights put the game away in the second stanza by connecting on 59.1 percent of their field goal attempts. With the win, Rutgers moves on to the Sweet 16 where it will face sixth-seeded Purdue, which upset third-seeded North Carolina. Auburn shot a season-low 28 percent from the field in the ugly loss.
