Berea, OH (My Sportsbook) - The Cleveland Browns brought back 12-year NFL veteran wide receiver David Patten on Monday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Patten was released by the New Orleans Saints in early February after appearing in only five games for the team last season, missing four contests with a groin injury early on before being inactive for the Saints' final eight games. The Western Carolina product spent two seasons with New Orleans and finished second on the team in 2007 with 792 receiving yards on 54 receptions while hauling in three scores. He had just 11 catches for 162 yards and a score in 2008. The 34-year-old previously played in Cleveland during the 2000 season before joining the New England Patriots for a successful four-year run which included three Super Bowl titles from 2001-04. He set career-highs in receptions with 61 and receiving yards with 824 in 2002 while hauling in five scores. In seven career postseason games, Patten logged 20 catches for 260 yards with two TDs and has 324 receptions for 4,715 yards with 24 TDs over 147 career regular-season games with the Saints, Redskins, Patriots, Browns, and Giants.
