Lubbock, TX (My Sportsbook) - Kristin Rotert and Jill Young tallied 17 points apiece and the seventh-seeded South Dakota State Jackrabbits breezed past the 10th-seeded TCU Horned Frogs, 90-55, in first-round action of the Raleigh Regional of the NCAA Tournament at United Spirit Arena. Jennifer Warkenthien logged a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds for SDSU (32-2), which came out on top in the team's inaugural D-I tournament game. The Jackrabbits matched the school record with their 32nd victory and they also tied the NCAA Tournament record for most three-pointers in game with 16. Helena Sverrisdottir guided TCU (20-11) in the setback with 12 points and eight rebounds. Emily Carter chipped in with 11 points in the losing effort. The Jackrabbits opened the game with a decisive 33-6 run and they went into the break with a commanding 52-22 advantage. SDSU shot 53.8 percent from the floor over the final 20 minutes and it cruised to the 35-point triumph. The Jackrabbits will meet either Texas-San Antonio or Baylor in the second round on Tuesday.
