Baton Rouge, LA (My Sportsbook) - Allison Hightower poured in a career-high 26 points to lead the sixth-seeded LSU Lady Tigers over the 11th-seeded Wisconsin-Greeny Phoenix, 69-59, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament's Raleigh Regional at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. Hightower finished the night 8-of-13 from the floor and 8-of-10 at the foul line for LSU (19-10), which will play the winner of the Liberty/Louisville matchup in the second round on Tuesday. Kristen Morris notched a double-double with 13 points and 16 boards, and LaSondra Barrett also had 13 points in the triumph. Kati Harty tallied 17 points and Kayla Tetschlag scored 16 for UWGB (29-4), which had its 21-game winning streak snapped. Behind 50.0 percent shooting from the floor, the Lady Tigers were able to open a 35-25 lead at the intermission. In the second half, LSU made 16 free throws to secure the 10-point win. The Lady Tigers have now won 12 consecutive NCAA Tournament games on their home floor, as they move on to the second round for the 11th year in a row.
