Bowling Green, KY (My Sportsbook) - The fourth-seeded Iowa State Cyclones drained 16 three-pointers, as they rolled past the 13th-seeded East Tennessee State Lady Buccaneers, 85-53, in first-round action of the Berkeley Regional at E.A. Diddle Arena. The Cyclones (25-8), who took 38 attempts from beyond the arc, tied the NCAA Tournament record with their 16 three-pointers. Alison Lacey went 6-of-11 from long range on her way to 18 points for ISU, and Kelsey Bolte added 12 points and eight boards. Heather Ezell turned in 11 points and seven assists, as the Cyclones advance to the second round for the third straight season. They will face either Ball State or Tennessee on Tuesday. For ETSU (20-11), Taronda Wiles led the way with 16 points and eight boards, and Latisha Belcher chipped in with 11 points. The Cyclones connected on 10-of-20 attempts from three-point range in the first half and they raced out to a 47-25 halftime advantage. ISU held the Lady Bucs to just a 33.3 percent shooting effort from the floor in the second half, as it coasted to the 32-point win. The 32-point margin of victory marked the second highest total in ISU history in a NCAA Tournament contest.
