Mexico City, Mexico (My Sportsbook) - Pat Hurst birdied the final hole on Sunday and Yani Tseng made bogey to give Hurst the victory at the MasterCard Classic.

Hurst finished with a four-under 68 to win the title at 10-under 206.

The victory was Hurst's sixth on the LPGA Tour and her first since the 2006 Safeway International in August of that year. That season was a memorable one for Hurst. She lost the U.S. Women's Open in a playoff to Annika Sorenstam earlier that summer.

This win is special for Hurst more for whom she beat. Tseng (70) and Lorena Ochoa (69) tied for second place at nine-under 207. Ochoa and Tseng are one and two in the world rankings.

"It's very emotional for me," acknowledged Hurst. "I think any time you win it's emotional, but for Lorena, you know, to play in front of the home crowd, it's always emotional. That's the way I always feel when I'm at home."

Ochoa has never won this title, but her share of second represented her best finish.

"I think overall it was really one of the best weeks, for sure," said Ochoa. "Losing the tournament, it doesn't feel that good, but I tried my best, and congratulations to her."

Tseng held a one-shot lead over Hurst and Ochoa on the 18th tee.

Tseng's third shot came up short of the putting surface and she misjudged the speed and ran her birdie effort 15 feet past the stick. Tseng missed that par putt and holed a five-footer for bogey.

That left all three tied for the lead, but Hurst sank a 10-foot birdie putt on the last to earn the win.

"When I was reading the putt, I was not thinking about playoff or anything, just about making the putt," said Hurst. "I knew the putt was downhill, so I knew I could get it there. It was just a matter of getting the line, and it was on the right line."

For Tseng, this was a tough loss, but she appears ready for the next tournament.

"I feel I improved a lot from last year, so I'm really getting ready for next week's tournament," said Tseng, whose only LPGA Tour win came at last year's LPGA Championship. "I'm really ready to win it."

Hurst took a one-shot cushion over Tseng after back-to-back bogeys from Tseng at the eighth and ninth holes. Disaster struck for Hurst at the 10th. She walked off with a double-bogey and Tseng birdied the hole. The three-shot swing gave Tseng a two-stroke lead.

Both players birdied the 11th, then Hurst birdied the par-five 12th to get within one. That margin lasted only two holes. Hurst bogeyed No. 14 and found herself two behind with the homestretch remaining.

Hurst got one shot back with a birdie at the 17th from 10 feet out.

The crazy ending was enough to give Hurst the victory and the $195,000 first- place check.

Song-Hee Kim shot a three-under 69 and took fourth at minus-eight. Cristie Kerr fired a five-under 67 Sunday and came in fifth place at five-under-par 211.

Overnight co-leader Na Yeon Choi (76), Ji Young Oh (70) and Eun-Hee Ji (69) shared sixth place at minus-three, while Katie Futcher (68), Jee Young Lee (71) and Suzann Pettersen (74) tied for eighth at two-under 214.
