Minneapolis, MN (My Sportsbook) - Kevin Durant led all scorers with 30 points to go along with eight rebounds and five assists as the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves, 97-90, at the Target Center.

Jeff Green went for 17, while Thabo Sefolosha had nine points and six boards for the Thunder, who recovered from a 101-94 setback to Utah on Friday. Oklahoma City has split its last four games overall.

Craig Smith had a team-high 19 points and 10 rebounds for Minnesota, which has dropped four in a row and 15 of 17 overall.

Rodney Carney chipped in with 15 points, while Bobby Brown had 12 and Kevin Love 10 with six boards in defeat.

Oklahoma City led 26-16 after one quarter, then Durant's layup started a 9-0 Thunder run, which was finished off by a Kyle Weaver three-pointer.

Green's trey stretched the Thunder's advantage to 22 at 49-27 with 4:07 left in the opening half and Oklahoma City took a 57-39 edge into the intermission.

In the third things got even worse for the Timberwolves. Following a Sefolosha layup the visitors led by a 63-39 margin with just under nine minutes left in the period. The advantage quickly ballooned to 32 at 80-48 with 1:12 remaining.

OKC held a comfortable double-digit lead for the majority of the fourth, but Minnesota was able to get the deficit down to 10, 97-87 with just over a minute to play. It would prove to be too little, too late; although the T'Wolves got some points in the closing seconds to account for the final margin.

Game Notes

Minnesota begins a three-game road trip at Atlanta on Monday, while the Thunder host the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday...The teams have split four games this season, but the Sonics/Thunder have won eight of the last 11 meetings.
