South Bend, IN (My Sportsbook) - Emily Fox netted 23 points to lead the 10th-seeded Minnesota Golden Gophers to a 79-71 win over seventh-seeded Notre Dame in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Katie Ohm added 15 points and Zoe Harper grabbed 13 rebounds for the Golden Gophers (20-11), who advance to face No. 2 seed Texas A&M in the second round. Ashley Barlow led Notre Dame (22-9) with 20 points. The Golden Gophers knocked down 11 of their first 13 shots from the floor, leading by as many as 14 in the first half. They led by 12 at intermission. The Fighting Irish cut the deficit to 58-56 on a three-pointer by Becca Bruszewski. But the Gophers answered with a trio of three-pointers to regain a double-digit lead, and they never looked back. Harper was instrumental in guiding Minnesota to a key 45-32 rebounding advantage for the game.
