Ashley Sweat and Kari Kincaid added 11 points apiece for Kansas State (25-7), while Shalee Lehning dished out 13 assists and collected nine caroms in the win. Gabriela Marginean posted 15 points and eight rebounds for Drexel (24-9), while Jasmina Rosseel tallied 13 points in the losing effort. Kansas State held Drexel to a pathetic 23.8 percent shooting effort from the floor in the first half and went into the break with a solid, 26-19 lead. The Wildcats went on to capture a convincing 24-point victory, thanks to a sizzling 57.7 percent shooting display in the second stanza, which included an equally impressive 6-of-11 clip from long range. Kansas State outscored Drexel in the paint, 30-18, and will now collide with the Vanderbilt Commodores in the second round.
