Duluth, GA (My Sportsbook) - Kayli Murphy was 6-of-6 from the floor and finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds to lead the sixth-seeded Arizona State Sun Devils to a 58-47 victory over the 11th-seeded Georgia Lady Bulldogs in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Becca Tobin and Lauren Lacey tallied 12 points apiece for Arizona State (24-8), which is making its fifth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. Briann January added 10 points and nine assists in the triumph. Angela Puleo, Angel Robinson and Porsha Phillips scored nine points apiece in defeat for Georgia (18-14). Arizona State led 27-20 at intermission after limiting Georgia to eight field goals in the first half. The Sun Devils made good on 53.6 percent of their shots from the floor over the final 20 minutes to seal the victory. Arizona State, which forced 19 turnovers, moves on the face either third- seeded Florida State or 14th-seeded North Carolina A&T in second-round action of the Trenton Region.
