Auburn Hills, MI (My Sportsbook) - Will Bynum set a career high with 22 points, as the short-handed Detroit Pistons pulled away late to crush the Los Angeles Clippers, 108-90, at the Palace of Auburn Hills.

Detroit, which beat LA for the 13th straight time, was without four of its top five scorers, as guards Rodney Stuckey (flu), Richard Hamilton (groin), Allen Iverson (back) and forward Rasheed Wallace (calf) were each on the shelf for the game.

Detroit currently occupies the seventh spot in the Eastern Conference playoff picture.

Antonio McDyess chipped in 24 points and 17 rebounds for the Pistons, who stopped a three-game slide. Tayshaun Prince set a career high with 12 helpers to go with his 23 points, while Kwame Brown donated 14 points.

Eric Gordon gave 22 points and Baron Davis 19 with eight helpers and seven boards for LA, which had won two of three coming in. Chris Kaman finished with 13 points and eight boards in the setback.

The Clippers were up 27-23 after the first frame and still led by four, 50-46, at the break.

Trailing by three early in the third, Detroit rattled off seven consecutive points to take the lead. Bynum started things off with a layup before Prince nailed a three and then offered a dunk to make it 60-56 right around the midway point.

"We had a great first half, for us," said Kaman. "They were missing shots, we were doing a good job on the boards. The third quarter we've been struggling, coming out flat, and they changed a few things up and it worked for them."

The Pistons were ahead 74-69 heading into the final 12 minutes.

Detroit's lead hovered around six points until Bynum had a free throw, Walter Herrmann nailed a three and Prince hit a foul shot to make it 94-83 with 4:39 left in the game.

The teams traded baskets and Detroit scored the final eight points to put it away. Herrmann's basket, Jason Maxiell's two buckets and Walter Sharpe's shot gave the home team a 108-90 lead in the waning seconds.

"I think the pace of the game was great for us," said Bynum. "We played well, the effort was there. Today we were fortunate enough to get the win."
