Miami, FL (My Sportsbook) - Nic Wise scored 29 points as Arizona, one of the last bubble teams to get an at-large NCAA Tournament berth, pulled out an 84-71 win over Utah in a first round contest in the Midwest Region. Chase Budinger added 20 points for Arizona (20-13), which had lost five of its last six games entering Friday's contest and became a 12-seed for the tournament. However, the Wildcats' 25th consecutive NCAA tourney appearance will now continue, as they used a 14-3 run late in the game to secure the victory. In the second round, Arizona will face the winner of the matchup between fourth-seeded Wake Forest and 13th-seeded Cleveland State. Jordan Hill ended with 17 points and 13 rebounds for the Wildcats, while Kyle Fogg added 12 points. Tyler Kepkay had 19 points to pace Utah (25-10), which was awarded a No. 5 seed after winning the Mountain West tourney title. But the Utes' leading scorer, Luke Nevill, was limited to 12 points after being in foul trouble much of the game. Utah also committed 19 turnovers.
