Boise, ID (My Sportsbook) - C.J. Anderson poured in 14 points, as fourth- seeded Xavier dominated 13th-seeded Portland State, 77-59, in an East Region first-round matchup of the NCAA Tournament. Derrick Brown, B.J. Raymond, and Dante' Jackson each had 13 points for the Musketeers (26-7), who advance to play either fifth-seeded Florida State or 12th-seeded Wisconsin in the second round on Sunday. The Musketeers have advanced to the second round for the 10th time in their last 14 appearances. Xavier is also making its fourth straight NCAA Tournament appearance -- 20th overall. The Musketeers, who made it to the Elite Eight last year, improved their tourney record to 16-19. Xavier held Portland State's star guard, Jeremiah Dominguez, to zero points in the second half, after he netted 13 in the first frame. Portland State (23-10) was paced by Jamie Jones, who had a game-high 16 points. Andre Murray ended with 14 points for the Vikings, who were making their second appearance in the tournament.
