Pittsburgh, PA (My Sportsbook) - The Pittsburgh Steelers re-signed offensive lineman Trai Essex to a two-year contract on Tuesday. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The 6-4, 324-pound Essex is entering his fifth NFL season and was originally drafted by the Steelers in the third round of the 2005 draft. Essex has played in 33 career games, appearing in seven last season, and has four career starts including Pittsburgh's 2008 Wild Card tilt with Jacksonville. The team also inked cornerback Fernando Bryant to a one-year contract. Bryant appeared in two games for Pittsburgh last season and has 360 tackles with seven interceptions over parts of 10 seasons with the Steelers, Lions and Jaguars.
