(My Sportsbook) - The Buffalo Sabres will attempt to halt a five-game road losing streak in a city where they haven't had much luck as of late. Buffalo wraps its season series with the Ottawa Senators tonight at Scotiabank Place.

Buffalo has been unable to keep its opponents off the scoreboard on its road skid, getting outscored 21-9 over the five games while falling to 14-15-5 as the visiting team this year.

The Sabres haven't won on the road since a victory in Toronto on February 17.

Wins have also been hard to come by in Ottawa for Buffalo as of late. The Sabres have lost both games at Scotiabank Place this year and have dropped seven of their last nine visits there. In addition, they have lost three straight and eight of their last 11 overall to the Senators.

Buffalo wrapped up a quick two-game homestand on Saturday with a 4-3 shootout loss to Atlanta. Patrick Lalime made 29 saves, but allowed the Thrashers' Todd White to tie the game with 3.5 seconds left in regulation before getting beat by Brett Sterling in the fourth round of the extra session.

Lalime is 3-4-2 with a solid 2.47 goals against average in nine starts since No. 1 goaltender Ryan Miller went down with an ankle injury that has him out indefinitely. Lalime has struggled as of late, though, allowing 14 goals over his last four starts.

Daniel Paille, Derek Roy and Maxim Afinogenov tallied for the Sabres, who dropped their third game in four tries and are 10th in the Eastern Conference, three points back of a playoff spot.

Buffalo will face an Ottawa team that has won five of its last six games and carries a four-game home winning streak into this contest. The Sens are coming off Saturday's 4-3 shootout win in Pittsburgh and begin a three-game homestand tonight.

After the Penguins' Chris Kunitz, the ninth participant in the shootout, sent a backhand over the net, Ottawa's Mike Comrie skated in, dragged the puck back and slipped it just inside the left post for the win.

Chris Phillips, Chris Campoli and Nick Foligno each had a goal for the Senators, who are 17-12-6 at home this season. Jason Spezza stretched his point streak to six games (3 goals, 5 assists) with an assist.

Brian Elliott made 27 saves in the win. The rookie goaltender has never lost to the Sabres, winning all three career starts against them with a 1.96 GAA. He has stopped 86-of-92 shots faced versus Buffalo.
