Los Angeles, CA (My Sportsbook) - Steve Novak drained a three-pointer at the buzzer, and the Los Angeles Clippers defeated the New Jersey Nets, 107-105, at Staples Center.

Novak finished with a team-high 21 points, while Al Thornton and Baron Davis each had 20 for the Clippers, who snapped a seven-game losing streak. Eric Gordon had 17 points, while Chris Kaman had 10 points and eight rebounds for Los Angeles.

Vince Carter had a season-high 41 points, seven rebounds and six assists for New Jersey, which has lost five of six and lost Devin Harris to a shoulder sprain in the third quarter. X-rays were negative, and he had 13 points in the setback.

"We put ourselves in a position to win," Carter said. "This doesn't sit well with me. I have to find it in me to take it to another level. The rest of the team has to follow suit."

Brook Lopez scored 14 for the Nets.

Kaman pushed the Clippers' lead up to 11, 100-89, on his basket with 5:35 to go, but consecutive three-pointers by Jarvis Hayes again pulled New Jersey to within five with 3:42 left.

Carter added another three and a pair of free throws to tie the game and cap an 11-0 run that made it 100-100 with 1:56 left.

Davis answered with a layup, and Carter responded with a turnaround jumper with 51.3 seconds to play.

After Thornton missed a layup, Carter drained a three from the top of the arc with 12.7 seconds left to give the Nets a 105-102 lead.

New Jersey put Davis on the line with 7.3 seconds left, and he made both to cut the Clippers' deficit to one. Hayes missed both free throws at the other end, giving LA a chance to win the game with 5.6 seconds remaining.

Gordon got the inbounds pass and dished back to Davis after being swarmed by several defenders. Davis quickly passed it to Novak, who drained a three from the left corner at the buzzer to win it.

"Coach drew up the play to put the ball in (Gordon) and (Davis') hands," Novak said. "(Gordon) drove, passed the ball to (Davis), (Davis) passed it to me, (and) it felt good when it left my hands. I was surprised I was that wide- open. When you haven't won a ton of games, it just felt so good."

The Clippers took a 33-30 lead after the first quarter and extended their advantage to 65-54 at halftime.

After LA had an 88-78 lead following the third quarter, the Nets scored five straight points to pull to within five on Carter's three-point play.
