Rotterdam, Netherlands (My Sportsbook) - Leroy Fer's header in the 73rd minute was enough to propel Feyenoord to a 1-0 win over PSV Eindhoven at De Kuip Stadion on Sunday.

The win extends Feyenoord's unbeaten streak to four games and allows the team to remain in 10th place, while PSV is now eight points from a spot in the top four and looks unlikely to claim an automatic berth in Europe for next season.

PSV entered the match having won only one of its last four games, but they nearly went in front early as Edison Mendez poked a close-range shot wide of the post.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst had the best chance for the hosts in the opening half when his 30-yard free kick curled just wide of the post, but PSV controlled play after the break and should have taken the lead.

Substitute Otman Bakkal was denied by goalkeeper Henk Timmer from eight yards, while Danko Lazovic missed PSV's best opportunity when he latched onto a pass from Mendez but missed the target from eight yards with an open look at goal.

The missed chances came back to haunt the visitors as a corner kick in the 73rd minute produced the lone goal with Diego Biseswar driving the ball into the box and Fer nodding it home for the winner.

Leaders AZ Alkmaar maintained their 11-point lead at the top with a 1-0 triumph over Utrecht as Maarten Martens scored the lone goal after 12 minutes, Ajax regained third place with a convincing 3-0 win against Graafschap as Luis Suarez tallied twice, and Den Haag moved five points clear of the bottom three by beating NEC, 3-0.
