Los Angeles, CA (My Sportsbook) - Daniel Hackett scored 19 points and sank two huge free throws to put the Trojans ahead in the final minute, as Southern California rallied from a 15-point halftime deficit to beat 23rd-ranked Arizona State, 66-63, and win the Pac-10 Tournament for the first time.

DeMar DeRozan scored 25 and Dwight Lewis added 13 points for the sixth-seeded Trojans (21-12), who earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

"I wish I could tell you we did something really tricky, but we didn't," said USC coach Tim Floyd. "It was about the heart of these guys. They played with great effort and all these guys played terrific."

Jeff Pendergraph scored 20 for the Sun Devils (24-9), who are expected to garner an at-large bid to the Big Dance. Derek Glasser added 16 points, Ty Abbott 12, and James Harden chipped in 10 points and eight assists in defeat.

Harden went 1-of-2 at the charity stripe to boost ASU to a 63-59 lead with 1:10 remaining, but USC scored the game's final seven points.

Lewis nailed a three-pointer from the right corner with a minute left, and after Harden was called for charging, Hackett went to the line and hit two from the charity stripe with 42.6 seconds left. That gave USC its first lead since it was 5-4.

Taj Gibson then came up with a crucial block on a drive by Harden. Gibson made one free throw with 16.9 seconds remaining, and Harden missed a three-pointer at the other end. USC's Maurice Simmons made a crucial play by knocking the loose ball off the leg of Harden, who was out of bounds, giving the ball back to the Trojans with 2.4 seconds left.

Lewis hit one free throw before Glasser failed to get off a desperation attempt at the end.

The first half was a dominant one for ASU, which used a 17-5 spurt to end the stanza. Harden's three-ball in the waning seconds made it 39-24 at the break.

"We knew they are going to go on a run," said Glasser. "They're a very good team. Who knows, maybe they needed to win this game to get into the tournament. They played like it."

Game Notes

ASU shot 53.1 percent from the field, while USC finished at 52.2 percent...USC held a 27-20 rebounding advantage...This was the first Pac-10 tourney title game for the Sun Devils, while USC was in its fourth championship game, losing in 2002, '03, and '07...ASU shot just four free throws for the game, making two, while the Trojans went 13-of-21 at the stripe.
