Pittsburgh, PA (My Sportsbook) - Mike Comrie scored the game-winner in the shootout as the Ottawa Senators rallied for a 4-3 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins at Mellon Arena.

After the Penguins' Chris Kunitz, the ninth participant in the shootout, sent a backhand over the net, Comrie skated in, dragged the puck back and slipped it just inside the left post for the win.

"He is a quick goaltender, so sometimes getting him to move side to side you might be able to catch him," said Comrie. "I just tried to make a quick move, and I saw him come across pretty quick."

Chris Phillips, Chris Campoli and Nick Foligno each had a goal for the Senators, who have won five of their last six games. Brian Elliott made 27 saves in the win.

Eric Godard, Tyler Kennedy and Sidney Crosby each had a goal for the Penguins, who have dropped two straight after ripping off seven wins in a row. Marc- Andre Fleury made 36 stops in the loss.

"We had a two-goal lead and got away from our game a little bit and didn't finish them off and let them back in it," said Crosby. "We left it up to chance, and they had the better shooters today."

The Pens jumped out to a 1-0 lead at the 6:05 mark of the first period as Godard's wrister beat Elliott for his second goal of the season.

However, Ottawa got the goal back 2 1/2 minutes later when Campoli's wrist shot found the back of the net for his ninth goal of the season.

Pittsburgh grabbed a 2-1 lead at the 5:56 mark of the second. Jordan Staal had the puck deep along the left boards and sent it to the left circle for Mark Eaton, who quickly sent the puck across the net to the wide-open Crosby for the easy stuff in.

The Pens made it a 3-1 game with 1:34 left in the second on a 2-on-1 break as Matt Cooke threw the puck from the left to the right for a wrister by Kennedy that beat Elliot for his 12th goal of the season.

However, the Sens rallied late in the third period to tie the game.

Foligno made it a 3-2 game at the 12-minute mark of the frame as he grabbed a loose puck at the left circle and wristed it through a screen.

Just 1:54 later, Dany Heatley snapped a backhand on net from the right circle that hit off the left shoulder of Fleury then bounced off the crossbar before going to the slot where Phillips banged it home.

Ottawa started the extra session on the power play and thoroughly dominated the five minutes, outshooting Pittsburgh, 11-1, but were unable to net the winner and the game went to the shootout.

Game Notes

Pittsburgh's last four games have gone to the shootout, which is a franchise record...Pittsburgh hosts Boston on Sunday...Ottawa hosts Buffalo on Tuesday...Ottawa won three of four games in the season series and has taken six of seven overall against the Pens...Neither team scored on the power play with Ottawa having seven chances and Pittsburgh five...Crosby has a nine-game point streak and has notched six goals and nine assists during that run.
