Toronto, ON (My Sportsbook) - Ryan Malone registered a goal and an assist and Martin St. Louis picked up the game-winner in the second period, as the Tampa Bay Lightning scored four unanswered goals to post a 4-1 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Matt Pettinger and Paul Szczechura also scored for Tampa, which snapped its four-game losing streak. Karri Ramo posted 20 saves in earning the win.

Martin Gerber saved 26-of-30 shots against for the Maple Leafs, who have lost three of four.

Lee Stempniak scored the lone goal for Toronto just 3:21 into the contest.

Pettinger tied things 5:25 into the second period with a breakaway tally, and St. Louis' 25th of the season came off a nice cross-ice pass from Steven Stamkos with 2:41 remaining in the frame for a 2-1 edge.

"Our legs were a little sluggish to start," St. Louis said. "Our goalie kept us in it and we were able to come back."

Toronto defenseman Anton Stralman was whistled for tripping with 6:54 remaining in the game, and Tampa took advantage when Malone tapped in a Cory Murphy pass for a healthy 3-1 lead a little later.

Szczechura's tally off a Toronto turnover in the defensive end with 2:06 left sealed the victory for the Lightning.

To add insult to the loss, Maple Leafs head coach Ron Wilson was tossed from the game for arguing with the officials with 54 seconds left.

"It's tough to lose a game like this," Stempniak said. "We started off strong. We took some penalties in the second period and they took it to us. You wish you could have done more to help the team win."

St. Louis now has six straight seasons of 25-plus goals...Tampa went 1-for-4 on the power play, while Toronto went scoreless in its three chances with the man advantage.
