Winnipeg, Manitoba (My Sportsbook) - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers re-signed defensive lineman/fullback Jon Oosterhuis, who is one the longest-tenured Blue Bombers currently on the team, on Thursday. Per team policy, details of the deal were not disclosed. The 6-foot-4, 255-pounder former defensive lineman will be entering his eighth season with the club. Oosterhuis, who will play at fullback this upcoming season, played in just nine games last year because of an injury. "Our organization is extremely pleased to have Jon back in the fold. He has the work ethic, desire to excel, team-first attitude, and determination that is exactly what our team wants to portray," said head coach Mike Kelly. The 31-year-old has recorded 37 tackles and two sacks in 107 career regular season contests. The New Hampshire product was originally selected by Calgary in the first round of the 2002 CFL Draft. He was released by the Stampeders halfway through his rookie year before signing with Winnipeg on September 12, 2002.
