Regina, SK (My Sportsbook) - The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed three defensive players on Thursday, including defensive back Chris McKenzie. McKenzie is an Arizona State product who signed as a free agent with the Houston Texans of the NFL in 2005. He spent three seasons with the Texans before joining the Arizona Rattlers of the AFL in 2008. Saskatchewan also added defensive back Brady Browne, a former standout at University of Manitoba. Browne was selected by the B.C. Lions in the fifth round of the 2008 CFL Draft. Linebacker Jerrell Freeman will also join the Riders this season. The product of Mary Hardin-Baylor signed as a free agent with the NFL's Tennessee Titans, but was later released.
