New York, NY (My Sportsbook) - The Miami Heat's Dwayne Wade and Deron Williams of the Utah Jazz have been named the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for the week ending March 8. Wade led the league in scoring at 35.8 points per game and was tops in the Eastern Conference in assists (11.3) and steals (3.25) to lead Miami to a 2-2 mark for the week. On March 4, he scored 35 points and added 16 assists in the Heat's 135-129 win over Phoenix, and on March 6 he totaled 42 points and eight assists in a 108-102 win over the Raptors. Wade has shot 50 percent or better from the field in nine of his last 10 games and has scored in double figures in all 62 games this season. It is his third weekly award this season. Williams helped the Jazz to a 3-0 record for the week, as he averaged 25.3 points and 11.3 assists. On March 8 at Toronto, Williams scored nine of his 25 points and added three assists in the fourth quarter to help the Jazz rally from a seven-point deficit to post a 109-101 win. The Jazz are on an 11-game winning streak and coming into Monday's action hold a half-game lead over Denver for first place in the Northwest Division.
